Welcome to Back to Basics: Studying the Roots of Our Faith

In this series, we will take a deep dive into the foundational texts of Christianity, exploring their significance and the historical context that surrounds them. We will examine the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Tanakh, and the Septuagint, uncovering how these ancient writings contribute to our understanding of Scripture today, leading us up to the King James Bible we have now.

I will cover notes from our Tuesday Night Bible Study, providing insights into the historical and scholarly processes that shaped the Bible we have today. We will discuss how the Holy Spirit is God's inspired Word and how He inspired those who wrote what we have today, as revealed in Scripture.

Additionally, we will study different Bible translations and how the Scriptures have transitioned from language to language. This will include learning about any changes or significant differences that are important for our understanding of God’s Word.

As we continue to learn and grow in God's Word, we will understand how far His Word has come, allowing us the privilege to know and comprehend the truth of God's Word. Ultimately, everything from Genesis to Revelation will reveal that God's plan is found in the finished work of the cross.
