Welcome to Back to Basics: Roots of Scripture

Back to Basics: Roots of Scripture is a study page dedicated to returning to the foundation of God’s Word from Genesis to Revelation. Here, we will look at Scripture through the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Koine Greek, while comparing Scripture with Scripture so the Word of God can bring clarity and truth.

This page will also explore the historical journey of Scripture through the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Tanakh, the Septuagint, and the King James Bible. The purpose is to better understand the original meaning of the text and how God’s Word has been preserved, studied, and translated through time.

As these studies continue, everything will lead back to what Jesus has done at Calvary through The Finished Work of the Cross. The goal is to grow in truth, be led by the Holy Spirit, and remain grounded in the Word of God as He has given it.
